Hello!

I’m Sarah, owner and lead photographer at Frankly Photography. Together with my partner Matt (second shooter, booth extraordinaire and general people wrangler) and our amazing team of professional photographers we run Frankly Photography and our awesome booth- the Frankly Booth.

Based in Brisbane, we’re always up for travel and love a good adventure!

I have a background in documentary photojournalism (you can see that here) and am passionate about telling stories. I love breaking the mould of the typical overly posed photo shoot and I’d love to tell your story in your way.

We like to let things unfold fairly naturally (with some slight posing & guidance with lighting) so you end up with images that reflect who you are. When you look back in 20 years time we want you to remember what life was really like, beautiful & messy, the joy in the chaos, the intimate real moments. All we ask is for you to be yourself, and we’ll take care of the rest!

I hold a First Class Honours degree in Photography from the Queensland College of Art and have spent over 18 years in customer service and events. This includes many aspects of weddings & events from catering, to photographer to guest. This has given her a unique understanding of your special day. Sort of like your own personal photography ninja! My team have all been trained with the same ethos and approach so whoever you get from our Frankly family is just as wonderful, but it will always be me behind the computer & doing the final touches on your images.

Our documentary background allows us to often see things overlooked, the little details put into the big day. To capture that split second magic look from adoring family and those precious intimate moments we treasure forever.

We get invested in each story we tell, whether it’s an extravagant island wedding, or a backyard BBQ.

We aim to be calm, sensitive and kind in moments that can be stressful or overwhelming, and our ultimate end goal is to make sure you’re comfortable & happy so your photographs reflect this too.
