Gabbie + Alistair

I was so delighted to be part of Gabbie and Alistair's wedding. Organised from Melbourne, their Romanian Orthodox wedding really was something special. I'd been pretty excited about this wedding for a while, when I heard the story of how they met playing beach volleyball and Alistair had to pursue Gabbie for a while before winning her over with chicken soup. Excited again when I found out Gabbie's sister (and bridesmaid/Godmother) was her florist, and then Gabbie told me part of the traditional Romanian ceremony involved them wearing crowns (!!!), and I was especially excited when she told me they would be married by her father in the church her parents made! Gabbie's parents did the mosaic you will see on the church and commissioned graffiti artists to paint the inside (amazing!). I'm not going to lie to you, it was hot, there was a heat wave and it rained and we all thought we might melt- but none of that mattered. They were surrounded by family and friends, tradition, culture and lots and lots of love. It was wonderful. xx
